Website done... I can ignore that now

We make it a point to watch advertising and to visit websites.

Many's the time we guffaw at the hilarity of some new gem of a discovery, but sadly we also raise more than a wry smile at some websites we find.

It seems shockingly common to post content up to a website, then assume that the job is done. After all, just how much does the business change year on year? Sadly, it's not that simple.

Put yourself in in your sales prospect's shoes. They do a search which results in a link to your organisation. Great. They click on your link. Even better. Then they go back to the search engine and try out some of your competitors' sites. Now what if your site is the one that looks dated?

  • Maybe you have photos of your shiny new trucks? But when were they new?
  • Perhaps your last news item was dated two years ago.
  • What if you're publicising an event that happened last week?

Now your site visitor may not consciously think about your dated information, but sub-consciously that thought will be there. It works the same if the style of your site isn't contemporary too.

So take care of your website. It needs love and attention. And think about what it's saying to your prospects and clients.

And if you'd like to give it a bit of a face-lift, then do get in touch... we like a challenge!
