Customer Retention

It's important to know what's happening in your own industry so you can keep up with anything new and react to events as they happen.

I browse various blogs about marketing and today came across a variety talking about customer retention. All very good.

But like so much on the internet, there's so much guff and waffle. Paragraphs on "who owns the customer relationship"; becoming a "customer-driven" organisation; "holistic measurement" (whatever that means).

These articles are all well-meant and do indeed contain useful concepts, but it all boils down to meeting and exceeding your clients' expectations. What else is there to be said?
