Branding The Moose

Branding is a representation of the promise you make to your customers - not just the visual signals.
Think Mercedes - what comes to mind? reliability, prestige, quality, etc.
Think Cadbury - comfort and a warm glow.
Think Nike - athletics and fitness.
My point is that the first things you think about are not the products - it's how your perceive their products affect you.
Each of these brands has spent large sums of time, effort and money on developing and maintaining these perceptions in consumer-land. They also have the advice and support of experts when things go wrong. Only a few months ago you'd probably think of fire in your pocket if Samsung were mentioned, but they've done a great job of moving us all on from that.
Having a memorable, clean and appealing logo and "look" is a fundamental starting point for all of this, but it needs backing up with everything you do.
